Love at first sight.....?

Boy meets girl....Girl uses her brain not her heart...

Boy tries harder...Girl gives in....

Turns out they fooled around and fell in love!

September 28, 2012
20:00
Ordinary college Friday night... my bestie and I make it to the bar early so we can get free drinks..

We walk through the door and head for the dance floor... My jaw drops.. I have just fallen in love.. I look to my bestie and say "I think that guy is foreign, but I am meeting him tonight". (No, I'm not racist. I'm funny.)

21:00
We've had a few beverages, and we have been staring at each other all night. Neither of us willing to make the first move. Plus, I'm the lady, right? He should come to me. A few walkthroughs and he still hasn't found the nerve to say hello, but thinks he's going to sneak a dance without introducing himself. I say "bump that".

No idea what time it is...
We finally meet. "Hi I'm Karry" "Hi I'm Garcia" "Is that your actual name?" "No, it's Guilherme, I'm from Brazil"... And from there we struck an hour long conversation about travel, the US, festivals, seasons, and most importantly, trading phone numbers...

One hour later...
He asks me to dance, and I say yes. I had just read a few GREAT books on dating. It is a national epidemic that us 20-something girls think we have to drop our standards (or our undies) to find the love that we deserve.
Boy oh boy, this handsome Brazilian had no idea what he was getting himself into...

Here are the books:

These books could NOT have come along at a better time! As you can see by the titles, these books have some serious meat that may be valuable to any lady trying to find herself... Don't judge a book by it's cover!

On the dance floor...
Keeping a new and opened mind, I go to the dance floor with this gorgeous man that I just met.. Sure, he's SUPER attractive and sure, I'd LOVE to kiss his face off, just so I could say I did, but my brain was telling me different.. We started dancing, and I kept my distance. Always be you, and that's what I was.. I did NOT twerk up on that man. I politely showed his how to "shake your bonbon", "the shopping cart" and I may or may not have pulled a few "sprinkler" dance moves. But this made me different than any other girl that he had met, this is what a guy wants long term.

Later that night...
After switching numbers and leaving the dance floor before things got too hot, this new Brazilian asked if I would be interested in a house party... RED FLAG ALERT, RED FLAG ALERT whether you think this guy is the hottest thing or not (if you read the books) nobody has good intentions after midnight..
Either way, I told him I would stop by after I left the bar "yeah I'll call you"... then I went home, and went to bed.
